89 Camry problem..car died while driving..cant restart

89 Toyota Camry 4 door – 

2.0l 4 cylinder

about 150K miles


Was driving my car… Then the engine just died.. Pulled over… and never could restart it…


My friend who is decent @ cars said it was a timing belt…


Well looking underneath my hood…. I noticed that oil had been sprayed around the engine..i see it on the hoses, and it looks pretty fresh/wet looking…..


I took a look through a crack of the side panel when we got it loose enough to peak inside…..and could see the timing belt, and while my friend tried to start the car, i could see the belt was spinning, and seemed to be still intact..


so it doesn't look like i lost my belt(i think?)… but definitely something is wrong …


Any Ideas?

I think your oil cotainer is leaking .
